Two Atlanta moms fill a massive void in the fashion market!

Ward and Guido keep their daughters involved in the brand as they design and develop new styles.

QUADSis Shoes aims to fill age-gap for growing pre-teen feet

When Janet Ward’s now teenage daughter was in 2nd grade, she wore a woman’s size 7.

Unable to find anything age-appropriate that her daughter wanted to wear, Janet knew something had to change.

In November 2022, after extensive research on how fast girls’ feet grow during the pre-teen years and how shoes are designed and constructed, Ward and her longtime friend, Stephanie Guido, launched QUADSis Shoes.

“Give a mom a problem and she will find a solution, especially as it relates to her kids” Guido said. “We’ve created everything. We did not buy an existing product.”

Not all kids’ feet are created equal, and that’s where Quadsis comes in. These shoes are made specifically for girls with larger (a.k.a., adult-sized) feet. If you’re shopping for a kid who wears an adult size five or greater, Quadsis has boots, ballet slippers, and more kid-loved styles that will actually fit your giftee.

Recommended Age: 8 years and up

Having seen a void in the girl’s footwear market, Quadsis developed their shoes just for teen girls whose feet fit women’s sizes. Rather than being forced to shop the women’s selection, these girls can shop shoes that are made for them. Their wide, stable base and narrow heel support their still developing feet, while the styles are age appropriate. Started by two mother’s with their own daughters in this age range, they wanted to meet this need. A potential point of insecurity for teenage girls among their peers, Quadsis is made to help them feel confident and comfortable.

CITY LIFESTYLE

Six years ago, when Janet Ward was shop- ping for dress shoes for her then 8-year-old laughter Brooke to wear to her school’s Daddy Daughter Dance, she encountered an unexpected problem. While she knew Brooke already wore a women’s size 7 shoe, she did not expect the extremely limited selection in the women’s shoe department that were both appropriate and appealing to Brooke. From there, the idea for QUADSis® was born – a shoe brand specifically for tween girls who wear women’s shoe sizes.
